Monte Carlo Masters: Stefanos Tsitsipas beats Dan Evans in straight units to enter the ultimate

Monaco: Stefanos Tsitsipas beat Dan Evans 6-2, 6-1 within the Monte Carlo Masters semi-final on Saturday and can face Andrey Rublev or Casper Ruud for the title.

Fourth seed Tsitsipas wanted simply over an hour to ship Britain’s Evans, who knocked out world primary Novak Djokovic within the final 16.

Tsitsipas has but to lose a set in Monte Carlo this week and is in his third Masters 1000 last. He completed second in Canada in 2018 and in Madrid the next yr.

Rublev and Ruud meet within the second semi-final afterward Saturday. Rublev ended Rafael Nadal’s bid for a twelfth Monte Carlo quarter-final title, whereas unranked Ruud knocked out 2019 champion Fabio Fognini.
