Kuwaiti police seize $ 1.5 million shabu, suspect arrested

Abu Dhabi: The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry said it had seized 12 kilograms of shabu or crystal methamphetamine, with a market value of around half a million Kuwaiti dinars (around $ 1.5 million), the reports reported. local media.

Kuwait’s anti-narcotics department, in coordination with the customs department, managed to seize two containers of shabu hidden in sacks of fodder, smuggled in by a foreigner, the ministry said in a statement.

The suspect was caught in a buyout and plainclothes police seized 250 grams of drugs from his car, police said.

During questioning, the man allegedly admitted to the offense and said he had two containers in Shuwaikh Port, police added.

“The containers were pulled towards the inspection yard, 10 bags of shabu weighing 12 kilograms were seized. The suspect was referred to the prosecution pending further investigation and trial, ”police said.
