Cairo: Kuwait expects to pay KD 9.6 million in expatriate residence allow charges within the present fiscal 12 months, a neighborhood newspaper stated, citing official figures.
The projected revenues embrace charges of KD 3.35 million from international home employees and KD 6.25 million from bills of dependents of migrant employees, Al Rai added.
Home employees in Kuwait are estimated at round 744,000, 92 p.c of whom are from India, the Philippines, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Indians make up 47.4 p.c of family employees in Kuwait, adopted by Filipinos with 21.4 p.c, based on figures from the Kuwaiti Public Authority for Civil Data.
Foreigners make up almost 3.4 million of Kuwait’s 4.8 million inhabitants.
