Kuwait closes 27 shops promoting counterfeit items

Cairo: Kuwaiti authorities have closed 27 shops after they have been discovered traffickers in counterfeit items and concerned in fraud, a neighborhood newspaper reported on Friday.

The Ministry of Commerce and Business stated its inspection groups denounced violations in shops in violation of Kuwaiti and worldwide legal guidelines, Al Anba newspaper reported.

The pretend articles have been seized in a step to be handed over to the related businesses to take the required authorized proceedings in opposition to the violators, in response to the ministry.

The ministry promised to proceed its inspection marketing campaign to cease the sale of any merchandise that might hurt customers and to implement anti-fraud legal guidelines in opposition to counterfeit merchandise.
