Jack Hanna recognized with dementia and can retire from public life, household say

Former Columbus Zoo director Jack Hanna recognized with dementia, his household announced in a letter on Twitter.

Within the letter, the daughters of well-known zookeeper Kathaleen, Suzanne and Julie Hanna wrote that their father would retire from public life, months after he retired from his function on the Columbus Zoo, the place he labored for 42 years.

They mentioned 74-year-old Hanna is believed to have Alzheimer’s illness and her situation has progressed “a lot sooner prior to now few months than we might have imagined.”
