Iran arrests separatist chief accused of killing 25 individuals

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) – Iran’s intelligence ministry has arrested a pacesetter of a separatist group believed to have been implicated within the homicide of dozens of individuals throughout a army parade in 2018, the state information company reported on Thursday IRNA.

Based on the report, the ministry introduced that Farajollah Sha’ab had been arrested and labeled him “primarily answerable for the terrorist assault” in September 2018 within the southwestern metropolis of Ahvaz.

The report doesn’t specify when or the place he was arrested.

The assertion mentioned Sha’ab had deliberate additional assaults in Tehran and Khuzestan province.

In September 2018, activists dressed as troopers opened fireplace on an annual army parade within the metropolis of Ahvaz, capital of Khuzestan province. At the least 25 individuals had been killed and 70 injured, together with a 4-year-old boy.

The report says Saudi Arabia and Israeli intelligence companies are backing the group.
