Chennai: The star of South African drummer AB de Villiers joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore bio-bubble for the Indian Premier League on Thursday from April 9.
The 37-year-old hitter has been a key participant for RCB since becoming a member of the franchise in 2011. Since then he has performed for the Bengaluru-based franchise.
“The spaceship has landed! AB de Villiers has joined the RCB bubble in Chennai,” the RCB tweeted.
De Villiers retired from worldwide cricket in 2018 after taking part in 114 checks, 228 ODIs and 78 T20 internationals.

He scored 8,765 tries (at a median of fifty.66) and 9,577 in ODI.
Head coach Simon Katich can also be out of his forties, as has pacemaker Navdeep Saini, because the RCB crew underwent one other coaching session.
The RCB, led by Indian captain Virat Kohli, started a nine-day conditioning camp on Tuesday.
The crew will face the Mumbai Indians within the league opener.
