Cairo: Kuwait has confirmed 857 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, an increase of 52 from the tally reported the day before, bringing the country’s total number of infections to 91,244.
Two more deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded, bringing the death toll from the disease in Kuwait to 548, Health Ministry spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said today.
There are 89 patients receiving intensive care, added Dr Al Sanad, according to Kuwaiti news agency KUNA.
The total number of viral tests in Kuwait reached 653,099 after 5,048 tests were performed in the past 24 hours.
The health ministry said another 617 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries of the disease in Kuwait to 81,654.
