Within the UEFA Champions League semi-final match between Manchester Metropolis and Paris Saint-Germain, CBS Sports activities commentator Jim Beglin used a racial stereotype when speaking in regards to the purple card of PSG participant Angel Di Maria within the 69th minute.

As the sport reached a boiling level, Di Maria and Manchester Metropolis midfielder Fernandinho clashed on the sidelines when Di Maria went to retrieve the ball for a PSG throw-in.

As soon as Di Maria acquired the ball he prolonged his leg and slapped Fernandinho’s foot and was shortly despatched off by the referee.

Di Maria walked over to the canoe and CBS Sports activities commentator Jim Beglin mentioned: “It is that Latin mood,” referring to the explanations Di Maria reacted angrily and slapped Fernandinho’s foot.

A couple of minutes later, Beglin made a weak try to reverse the accusation, saying he was apologizing “to anybody who took offense.” Di Maria is initially from Argentina.

Manchester Metropolis gained the sport 2-0 at residence, advancing to the ultimate with a 4-1 general win over PSG in each legs.
